A Swarmer Dissedly
March 5, 2008(This post is full of Tagalogs. Apologies to those who don’t speak that language. )
My good friend Jen started the idea of blogswarming. Well, I joined, but even though I did a photoshop and a pseudo-editorial artwork to express my disdain for GMA, I wasn’t too crazed about the idea of blogswarming. In fact I can say I’m skeptic.
I didn’t expect the idea would take off either, but now in just two weeks, Jen’s a superstar. Political bloggers from Pinoy’s blogging scene (lalalala J, did you raise eyebrows?) started to show support to Jen. An Inquirer article was published for Jen. MBW was spellbounded to Jen. My photoshopped work had been taken without my permission and without the mention of my moniker.
And along came the ill consequences. You know how it is with blogging, right? As long as someone posts something polemic, dissidents will come. Some dissidents have well-presented counter-arguments, but most others give you this feeling that they’re paid trolls/propagandists writing as commentators under anonymous guises. These trolls bully other’s blog by posting ad hominem repartees. Sometimes you really have to wonder about these zombies, about how they think. Their dumbness seriously rattle my brain so much that in my exposure to them, my outlook for human civilization dims further.
There’s one that’s been making decent blog-swarmers head bang tables. You might want to read how OUR "debate" went.
Click on more. I hate doing these "more" come-hithers, but this is too unstructured it looks ugly on my blog’s main page. And, uh, the tag is purely meant for parody.
Troll’s first words (in blockquotes), which you can skip because it’s incredibly boring.
Troll: Referring to these sites: http://gmaresign.blogspot.com/ http://blacknwhitemovement.blogspot.com/
Sus, eto nanaman ang mga "e-mandirigma". This is so LAME. Some say they want De Castro, the Black and White movement (lame brains) say they don’t like De Castro (they advocate GMA and Noli to resign), some say it should be Puno, some say Erap, some say they don’t even know who to replace GMA with but they want her out.
If you want to be revolutionaries don’t hide behind your blogs and computers. Go out and wield a weapon and attack Malacanang if you are real people like Mao Zedong, Che Guevarra or Ayatollah Khomeini and not a bunch of URKLEs in that show Saved by the Bell. What a bunch of posers and wussy geeks these are na nag-ngangangawa sa blogs. A bunch of whining crybaby CONYO-english speaking (saying "now na", "now naman") computer geeks clearly cannot defeat GMA and her forces.
GMA will remain in power no matter what. The "opposition" people are clueless and have their own agendas which makes their ranks broken and weak.
Imagine they even say:
"kung edsa 2 napabagsak natin thru SMS now, naman.
the president web 2.0 brought down, the president blogging brought down,
the first president social media brought down" -daveQYeah, right. Imagine a bunch of bloggers and e-mail forwarders facing the PSG? The PSG and PNP will jut laugh and GMA will just send in her janitors to chase the "e-mandirigma" away with brooms.
[Ok, can you imagine that despite its patronizing tone, I believed its word had some merits? But yeah, I actually wanted it to further its stance. But, of course, when I read its long-winded tirade (which I won’t post here, God bless me) to those who challenged its view I felt dejected, because it was really juvenile. My comments are in boldface, Troll’s in italics.]
Blogging (anonymously pa ha) about how lame these bloggers are. Somehow the irony has escaped you.
Also, ang galing mong gumamit ng personal attacks sa mga tao, as if naman kilala mo sila sa tunay na buhay. I seem to recall personal attacks making people cases more credible when debating? *rolleyes*
Geez, ano, matapang ka dahil anonymous ka? Under the veil of anonymity people sure have the courage to say a lot of things. Doesn’t that knowledge make the entire civilization feel warm inside? *sniff*
Me: Slow? Um maybe you want to take a look at yourself before you go around accusing others, because 1. wala akong sinasabi na mabuti ang blogswarming 2. ang isyu na ninanais kong pag-isipan mo ay IBANG-IBA sa anong blogswarm-blogswarm na kalokohan na yan.
Diba ikaw ang nagsabi ng "If you want to be revolutionaries don’t hide behind your blogs and computers." This is true, actually, which is why I direct that statement to you: ano naman ginagawa mo? YOU’RE JUST FREAKING HIDING BEHIND YOUR COMPUTER TOO (and much worse, other’s blog)!
FYI kilala ko si jen, and she isn’t someone who hides behind her blog. Just so you know she is very much involved sa mga proyekto ng gobyerno, na punong puno ng kalokohan.
Hunghang.
Me: Ano ba, personalan pa rin. Hahaha. Apparently, you can’t grasp the concept of a good debate. Hunghang.
Here’s a dour fact of life: lahat ng tao sa internet ay kasing "walang kwenta", period. Your opinion, my opinion, jen’s opinion matters as much here as a drunkard’s, or someone who brushes the teeth of horses, or someone who kisses GMA’s ass. It so happen, many equally pointless people share a common belief, and when that happens you have to start wondering if the belief has any merit. If you’re into thinking, which I so believe you are into, this belief is something you will take considerable time reflecting on.
What tha…? Eh anong ginagawa mo? Alam mo ba anong ibig sabihin ng "rebolusyonaryo?" It means you want radical change, and YOU, yes, YOU, are in for this radical change of the e-mandirigma trend. You are counter-current. You are counter-cultural. You HAVE a POINT. That makes you "rebolusyonaryo", think about it!
Unfortunately, ang hina ng stance mo because of all your hypocrisies (anonymity ek ek), which until now you still haven’t addressed. THis is why no one pays you any respect, and no one is likely to listen to you.
It’s like you don’t know the first thing about political punditry. Try to keep up, btw.
Samuel Jackson of political bloggers entered: Hahaha m-f- tongue on a m-f- wrath! Unang napikon, talo! Name calling na, wala pang kwenta iyan ha?
Me: Yeah, the ad hominem is so inane, it’s almost poetry/postmodern.
Troll: unang napikon si nightdreamer so talo na sya. hahahahaha.
Me: You don’t want to push my snark button, believe me.
Ooh napikon daw ako! Picture me banging my head on my keyboard. I wonder why it’s my speech that are more comprehensible than yours then.
Oh "hahaha panalo ako" but what a trite remark. yawn it’s the same old "I’m so getting at you" schtick. I’ve seen it all before, from people way better in debating than you are. I wonder if that’s all you can come up with. I miss your "ssslow" though; I would’ve spelled it zzzlow for added drama.
And why are you evading the issue I presented? Pro-GMA lots sure are good at dodging issues, aren’t they?
I pity you. I want to make your stance more legitimate and less inane. I want it to be more well-thought because any ideas, whether pro-or-anti-blogswarm, matures when thought of very deeply. When both issues are in fair grounds people are compelled to think deeper on either. And what do you do instead of bolstering your cause? Toss around boring, keyboard-slapping moronic personal attacks.
In the meantime, report on whether or not you, an anonymous poster, are relevant, is still pending. But you will answer this, legend has it.

Haha I am actually on the verge of using those tactics (which I think I am considerably seasoned with) seeing as to how that troll is hellbent on being stupid. But I when I diss, I aim more to be everything that post describe PLUS posting something either too deep or too inane it makes my opponent feel inadequate and stupid.
I know, not a very modest comment, this one. Hahaha
Posted by nightdreamer at March 5, 2008, 9:04 pmWoohoo, way to go kris. He/she/it/they deserve it.
I’d consider Samuel Jackson a complement (but not Eddie Murphy), heheh.
****
btw, any chance of seeing you guys on ANC soon?
More like “he/she/it/they deserve wit”
huh who, me, on ANC? What for?
Really, you remind me a bit of Samuel Jackson.
